I developed the pattern for "Julia" from an 1815 extant bonnet in Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum. It's a classic shape that is comfortable to wear and seems to flatter everyone. In blue-on-blue mini striped silk taffeta, trimmed with vintage glass raspberries, blue paper flowers, self-fabric rosettes and red silk ribbon ties. The Underbrim is detailed with a narrow line of red sawtooth trim about the edge. Size is 23", but as it sits on the back of the head and can be secured with then ties, it should fit most any size comfortably. Cotton drawstribng lining.
