I named this after the Botticelli painting of Venus rising from a scallop shell. Reproduced in blush pink silk after an 1813 fashion plate, this very distinctive bonnet features an elaborately pleated "scalloped" curved crown. The underbrim is prettily finished in a vintage, scallop-edged lace. Matching silk ribbons. Opening is forgiving and will fit most (up to about 23")
