Neo-classicism was all the rage in the early Empire/Regency, from the 1790s through 1810s. This design is based on the popular "Minerva" or "Athena" helmet style. In luminous green-gold silk taffeta, with underbrim in beige and metallic gold striped silk organza. Trimmed with beaded and sequined sari border, black soutache, twisted cord, and ostrich plumes. Headsize opening is 23." Rounded crown and cotton drawstring lining makes this a "forgiving" fit for most sizes.
